Please check out my answers to the most common questions I have been asked over the years.
Then come on your own! I promise you won’t feel alone. All of Tiger Tones classes are friendly and welcoming, especially to newbies. You may think the other’s in your class have known each other for years but really they only met in the class recently too. You will notice as a newbie, the students who have been coming for a while will introduce themselves and help you out if they see you struggling – they were beginners once too! The truth is that most people come on their own in the beginning but then make friends in the class. I promise you will make friends too! It’s not uncommon to hear of class meals and evenings out organised by the students to socialise with their new group of friends.
Nobody is too old! I have taught many mature students over the years, some as young as 69 years!
You must be 16 years old or above to attend any of Tiger Tone’s pole classes. I have occasionally allowed 15 year olds to attend with a parent participating in the same class. I have lots of mother and daughter duo’s as its a nice fun activity they can do together. I will allow 12 years and up for Stretch n Flex and Aerial Hoop classes but only if a parent or guardian is participating too.
The one thing that annoys me the most is self negativity! The words ‘I can’t’ have no place here at Tiger Tone! If you’re not confident, flexible, strong or graceful then Tiger Tone is the perfect place to learn these things. You will be amazed at the journey people take while having lessons at Tiger Tone. Some people start off very shy and self doubting but within a few lessons they are laughing with their new friends, stretching with the aim to doing the splits and throwing themselves upsidedown on the pole! If you’re willing to try then there is no limit to what you can achieve. Start by making the call to book into your first lesson!
Whether you have been trained in ballet, gymnastics or street dancing since the age of 2, or never even danced at a party before, you will gain new skills and enjoy Tiger Tone classes.
No, and the studio has no low level windows or door windows for onlookers either!
Of course, Tiger Tone classes are for any gender.
As with any form of exercise, pole dancing uses muscle groups which you may not have used recently, so your body may ache slightly after your lesson. You should also expect a few minor bruises in the beginning, but your body soon gets used to it and you won’t bruise anymore.
This is just nonsense! Anybody can participate in Tiger Tone classes no matter what size and shape. You will loose weight and tone up during the classes! You wouldn’t say you need to loose weight before starting Weight Watchers would you!?!
