Tiger Tone Studio is proud to have 1732 sq ft that is divided into 2 studios in Leigh Park, Havant, Hampshire near Portsmouth. The facilities here are the best around! The pole studio has 3.5 metre high, floor to ceiling, chrome, spinning x-pole xperts in a mixture of 45mm and 40mm thicknesses. The aerial studio has aerial circus hoops and aerial silks, hung at adjustable heights over 6 inch thick crash mats. The full height of the aerial studio is 8 metres. There is plenty of on-site free parking, a shop area, changing rooms and toilets including baby changing facilities. For safety reasons all coats, bags and shoes are to be left in the cloak room to keep the studio free from trip hazards.
I opened Tiger Tone Studio out of frustration for a decent space to train and teach in. Years were spent using hired rooms in gyms that were not perfectly suited for pole dance fitness. I finally decided to do something about this and designed my own pole dance fitness studio and full aerial circus studio / school. I think I have created a welcoming, cosy and safe environment to learn, practice and train students to achieve their goals. The studio is dedicated to the memory of my Nan, Barbara Sabiston 1944-2012 – she always loved to dance!
The use of Tiger in the name came from my love of the beautiful big cat. Every year I will adopt a tiger from WWF to help in their fight to save these from extinction in the wild. I display a collection box in the studio to collect much needed donations for WWF. I will also support other charities and good causes of my choosing by holding events to raise money and awareness from time to time.
My name is Natalie Sabiston Cripps (my performance name is Tilly Tiger), and I own Tiger Tone Studio. I have been a keen dancer since I was a toddler, training in many different styles. I started Pole Dancing because I wanted to try something new to challenge myself. I loved my first go and I became obsessed with the sport immediately! Pole dance fitness has lead to me being in better shape now than when I was 18 years old! Due to the similarities in moves to pole dancing, I also learned the art of aerial circus hoop and aerial silks, and I have been a qualified Zumba instructor since 2012.
I have been teaching Pole Dance fitness professionally since 2005. Over the years I have taught thousands of people and have really fine tuned my methods to suit everybody’s individual needs. I have performed at events, on stages in front of large crowds, and on several TV shows. I am passionate about pole dancing and teaching and I really love my job!
I encourage friendships amongst my students and I insist on everyone clapping, cheering and encouraging others in my classes. I have been known to get a little over excited -cheering enthusiastically when one of my students nails a new move! This all adds to the friendly atmosphere in my lessons.
